Overview
Presence settings play an essential role in ON Portal, especially where team collaboration is crucial to complete tasks. By allowing users to set their presence status, the ON Portal fosters better communication and coordination among team members.
Coming soon: Set Presence feature is expected to be available for all users in Q2 2024!
Configurations
Below are the available Presence options:
Available: Indicates that the user is logged in and ready to engage or complete tasks.
Away: This status is manually set by the user to signify that while they are logged in, they are temporarily unavailable to undertake tasks.
Offline: Represents that the user is not currently logged into the Portal.
Benefits for Other Services
The presence feature is not just about individual availability. It is interwoven with other services within the portal, ensuring seamless task assignments and workflow management. When users set their presence, other services can:
Prioritize task assignments based on availability.
Prevent overloading a user who is set to 'Away'.
Redirect tasks or queries to available team members in real-time.
Foster clear communication by setting the right expectations for task completion.
