Tutorial Response

Guiding Users with Tips: Discover, Toggle, and Dive Deep.

Overview

The Tutorial Response feature is designed to provide users with guidance on how to effectively utilize the bot's functionalities. This system offers structured assistance, enabling users to quickly grasp what the bot can do for them. From random tips to a comprehensive list, the tutorial response covers all aspects of user onboarding.

The Tutorial Response isn't limited to static instructions. It can also introduce users to dynamic content powered by Data Source Responses, Generative AI Responses, Live Chat Request Form, and more. Such dynamic integrations make the tutorial response a powerful tool for both new and returning users, ensuring they harness the full potential of the bot.

Configurations

The following are the configurations available for the Tutorial Response:

  • Introductory Text Message: Begin with an inviting message that highlights the bot's capabilities and sets the stage for the tips to follow.

  • Tip Text Messages: Configure specific messages or instructions tied to each tip. This can be a brief description or a step-by-step guide, depending on the complexity of the task.

  • Presentation Modes:

    1. Randomized Tips: For users who prefer a bit of surprise, offer them random tidbits from the array of tips available.

    2. Toggle Through Tips: Allow users to manually cycle through tips using a "Next" or "Another Tip" command.

    3. Comprehensive List: For those who want a deep dive, provide the option to view all tips at once.

Alongside these advanced Tutorial Response configurations, all the Basic Response functionalities of the bot remain available. Utilizing Quick Replies is particularly recommended, as they can effectively guide users' next steps, enhancing the user experience and ensuring clarity in interactions.

Triggers

For a Tutorial Response to function optimally, configuring its triggers is crucial:

  • Intent + Entity Trigger: Beyond recognizing the general intent of Tutorial, this trigger captures specific entities within a user's message. These entities guide the presentations modes of the response, for example, "Show another tip" or "Next" or "All tips".

  • Direct Trigger: Can work for "Tutorial" but will not support the advanced configuration of the presentation modes so not recommended.
