Overview

Advanced settings offer fine-grained control over various configurations of your bot, including its display name, profile photo, NLP model ID, status, intended use, and more. These settings enable you to customize the bot's appearance, behavior, and operational status to align with your specific requirements.

Configurations

The following configurations allow for tailored adjustments to optimize bot performance and functionality:

  • Display Name: Specifies the bot name displayed to ON Portal users.

  • Profile Photo: Allows customization of the bot's profile image in the ON Portal.

  • NLP Model ID: Associates a specific Natural Language Processing (NLP) model with the bot for language understanding and processing.

  • Bot Status: Determines the operational state of the bot and influences the level of support and costs associated with it. The following statuses are available:

    • Development: The bot is actively being created and tested and not yet released to end-users. During development, the focus is on designing, coding, building, and initial testing of the bot resulting in the bot being in a state of flux, with ongoing changes and improvements.

    • Production: The bot has been fully developed, tested, and is now deployed in a live environment where end-users can access and use it. The transition from development to production marks the bot’s readiness for general availability, indicating it has passed testing and quality assurance processes and is considered stable and reliable.

    • Retired: The bot is no longer deployed in a live environment where end-users can access and use it. Analytics on its past performance remain accessible in the Portal, but support and maintenance are no longer provided.

  • Intended Use: Defines whether the bot's usage is internal or public-facing, aligning with organizational objectives and privacy considerations.

  • Danger Zone: Permanently delete the bot, with caution advised due to irreversible consequences.

Newly created bots default to Development status and are Public intended use.
